The pathing will be different depending on what environment you are going to be configuring and what terminal you are currently setting up as well. The Common Register Name is the location for Time Records, Credit Cards, Gift Cards, House Account Data, and Sales History Files.

The Server Name is the location for Current Check and Sales Data information.

File Server (any environment)

  1. From the ID Screen, enter 9137 and select “Managers Menu”
  2. Select Register Setup – Paths – Terminal Setup
  3. The Server Name and Common Register Name fields will both show as “(Local)” and this should remain like this for the file server

Full Service Environment

  1. From the ID Screen, enter 9137 and select “Managers Menu”
  2. Select Register Setup  Paths – Terminal Setup
  3. The Server Name and Common Register Name fields will both show as “(Local)” on each new install Change both of these fields to instead have the terminal name of the file server.
