Version 10.0.1516 Release

How do I get the update?
Please contact your MicroSale representative to update your system. If you are already on Version 10, updates within the version are no charge. If you are on Version 9 or earlier versions of software, your representative will provide a quote.


Important Update:

  • Added Phone Order (Takeout Orders) number rollover after 700 (prevents potentially dropped orders) – instead of phone orders resetting back at 1 every day, phone orders do not reset until the takeout number reaches 700 (regardless of day). This ensures future orders/preorders are not overwritten or assigned to an existing phone order number.

  • Added function to make sure that the header file and detail are in sync.
  • Added auto close service to system — option to set and install service in misc setup page.

Improved:

  • Removed database server check for missing checks — Obsolete.

Fixed:

  • Fixed issue with cash discount (surcharging) with partial/split payments with cash.

Added:

  • Added additional error logging and tracking specifically tailored for “future orders” in takeout orders. With improved error logging and tracking, potential issues with future orders can be identified and addressed swiftly.
  • Added batch clear by pax device — is device fails it will not clear the records from that device.

Fixed:

  • Fixed voided items sent to remote when all items are voided.
  • Fixed runtime error 91 with deposits on prepaid phone orders.
  • Fixed prepaid orders calling for deposits.
  • Fixed by cashier where applying a tip from cashier terminal.
  • Fixed additional tip on credit card slip when gratuity is added to the check
  • Fixed adding on to a future order — corrected prepaid deposit.

Added:

  • Custom backgrounds are now supported in versions 1499 and above. No special options are needed. Just ensure the background image matches screen resolution, since the background image will not stretch-to-fit.

Fixed:

  • Fixed issue with “To Go” as the default order type and using the “Start Over” function (function that clears an order before being finalized and resets the screen); it was reverting to ‘Dine In’ as the order type; this fix properly maintains the intended order type to prevent order type issues.
  • Fixed remote printing issue with alternate print and new items added.
  • Fixed time for new incoming delivery orders — shows on screen
  • Fixed bug with caller id — ringing – press phone orders — press phone number — starts a tab.

Added:

  • Added daily backup for call-in orders, providing extra protection for order records.

Fixed:

  • Fixed dine-in orders transitioning to “go orders” incorrectly (when a default modifier is used on menu items)
  • Resolved void issue in Phone/Takeout Orders prompt sequence. Previously, answering “Yes” to “Void Payment?” and “No” to “Void Order?” didn’t record the payment as voided—now fixed.

10.0.1484 – 01.08.2024

Added:

  • Added header note on remote tickets , “new items added”, when additional items are sent to the kitchen/bar — on by default. (this is disabled when using “Alternate Print”. To turn off alternate print, go to Managers Menu > Printer Routing)

Improved:

  • Department Names are now organized in ascending order/alphabetically (deopen on your customized department names/labeling).
  • Added update to RPM (Inventory Module) — shows usage for purchase with no ending inventory.

Fixed:

  • Fixed an issue with the sequence of editing takeout/phone orders. When Edit Order and the Pay by Bag was used, it was prompting for payment and not functioning as intended
  • Fixed timed events issue on reports when viewing year over year sales comparisons
  • Fixed “Alternate print name” on remote tickets
